American Reunion took second place this weekend, earning $21.5 million domestically in 3,192 theaters and $19.3 million internationally, bringing its 3-day total to $40.8 million. The film may not be the juggernaut The Hunger Games is, but with an estimated budget of $50 million, American Reunion will certainly be considered a success.
Titanic 3D came in third, having grossed $17.4 million over the weekend in 2,674 theaters, bringing its 5-day total (it came out Wednesday) to $25.7 million.
