I have to start off by saying that "Most Anticipated Movies" lists can often be futile endeavors. Most movies that are going to come out in 2016 haven't even finished being made yet. Some sound interesting now, but will end up being terrible. Some sound terrible now, but will end up being amazing. And many will be small limited releases that no one currently knows about!
But. So many of ya'll have asked me what the big movies are 2016 are going to be, I've gone ahead and put together a quick list of movies that I'm interested in. So, with the disclaimer that there will be many, many, many good movies to come out that I haven't listed and that some of these might turn out to be flops, here are some movies I'm looking forward to in 2016:
Jan. 15th
13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi: As an American ambassador is killed during an attack at a U.S. compound in Libya, a security team struggles to make sense out of the chaos.
Ride Along 2: As his wedding day approaches, Ben (Kevin Hart) heads to Miami with his soon-to-be brother-in-law James (Ice Cube) to bring down a drug dealer who's supplying the dealers of Atlanta with product.
Jan. 29th
The Finest Hours: Members of the Coast Guard (Chris Pine) make a daring rescue attempt off the coast of Cape Cod after a pair of oil tankers are destroyed during a blizzard in 1952.
Kung Fu Panda 3: Continuing his "legendary adventures of awesomeness", Po must face two hugely epic, but different threats: one supernatural and the other a little closer to home.
Jane Got a Gun: A woman (Natalie Portman) asks her ex-lover (Joel Edgerton) for help in order to save her outlaw husband from a gang-leader (Ewan McGregor) out to kill him.

Feb. 5th
Hail, Caesar!: A Hollywood fixer (Josh Brolin) in the 1950s works to keep the studio's stars in line as he tries to find a kidnapped actor (George Clooney).
Feb. 12th
Deadpool: A comedic deconstruction of the superhero genre, the X-Men-related film follows a former Special Forces operative turned mercenary turned irreverent rogue hero (Ryan Reynolds).

The Witch: A family in 1630s New England is being torn apart. Is it the delusions of secluded fundamentalists, or is it witchcraft?
March 4th
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot: A journalist (Tina Fey) recounts her wartime coverage in Afghanistan.
Zootopia: In a city of anthropomorphic animals, a rookie bunny cop and a cynical con artist fox must work together to uncover a conspiracy.

10 Cloverfield Lane: After getting in a car accident, a woman is held in a shelter with a man (John Goodman), who claims the outside world is infected by a widespread chemical attack.

Midnight Special: A father (Michael Shannon) and son go on the run, pursued by the government and a cult drawn to the child's special powers.
March 25th
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: Fearing that the actions of Superman (Henry Cavill) are left unchecked, The Batman (Ben Affleck) takes on the Man of Steel, while the world wrestles with what kind of a hero it really needs.
I Saw the Light: The story of the country-western singer Hank Williams (Tom Hiddleston), who in his brief life created one of the greatest bodies of work in American music.
April 15th
Criminal: The memories and skills of a CIA agent (Ryan Reynolds) are implanted into the brain of a death-row inmate (Kevin Costner) in order to stop an international terrorist. Also starring Gary Oldman and Tommy Lee Jones.
The Jungle Book: The man-cub Mowgli flees the jungle after a threat from the tiger Shere Khan (Idris Elba). Guided by the panther Bagheera (Ben Kingsley) and the bear Baloo (Bill Murray), Mowgli embarks on a journey of self-discovery, meeting many other creatures along the way.
May 6th
Captain America: Civil War: Following collateral damage, political pressure mounts for government control of the Avengers. The new status-quo fractures the team, pitting allies against each other, including Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.).
May 13th
Money Monster: Financial TV host Lee Gates (George Clooney) and his producer Patty (Julia Roberts) are put in an extreme situation when an irate investor holds their studio hostage.

Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising: After a sorority moves in next door, which is even more debaucherous than the fraternity before it, Mac (Seth Rogen) and Kelly (Rose Byrne) have to ask for help from their former enemy, Teddy (Zac Efron).
The Nice Guys: Two private detectives (Ryan Gosling, Russell Crowe) investigate the apparent suicide of a porn star in 1970s Los Angeles and uncover a conspiracy.
June 17th
Finding Dory: Clownfish Marlin (Albert Brooks) and his son Nemo help Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), the friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish, reunite with her family.

Free State of Jones: As civil war divides the nation, a poor farmer (Matthew McConaughey) leads a group of rebels against the Confederate army, right in the middle of the South.
The Shallows: An injured surfer (Blake Lively) is stranded only 200 yards from the shore, but between her and survival swims a great white shark.

The Legend of Tarzan: Tarzan (Alexander Skarsgård), having acclimated to life in London, is called back to his former home in the jungle to investigate the activities at a mining encampment.

The Founder: The true story of how Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton) schemed to control and expand a simple burger operation from a couple brothers whose last name happened to be McDonald, creating a billion dollar empire.
Suicide Squad: A secret government agency recruits imprisoned supervillains (Will Smith, Margot Robbie) to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency. Also starring Jared Leto as The Joker.

Pete's Dragon: The adventures of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliott, who just so happens to be a dragon.
