There are NINE movies out this week in wide and limited release, including a comedy that is beginning to receive a good amount of attention, For a Good Time, Call..., a number of thrillers, a couple of docs, Paul Dano's third drama of the year, a martial arts movie, and an awful-looking kiddie dog movie.

The Ambassador: Danish journalist Mads Brügger goes undercover as a European Ambassador to embark on a dangerous yet hysterical journey to uncover the blood diamond trade in Africa.


Doggie B: When aspiring vet Cassie finds out that her Uncle Peter’s dog dancing studio is in danger of closing, she enters her devoted pup Pijo in the Dog Dancing Championships. With the help of family and friends, Cassie and Pijo lace up all six dancing shoes, raise the woof, and take on the competition tail on.


The Flying Swords of Dragon Gate: Set three years after Dragon Inn, innkeeper Jade has disappeared and a new inn has risen from the ashes - one that's staffed by marauders masquerading as law-abiding citizens, who hope to unearth the fabled lost city buried in the desert.


For a Good Time, Call...: Former college frenemies Lauren and Katie move into a fabulous Gramercy Park apartment, and in order to make ends meet, the unlikely pair start a phone sex line together.



The Good Doctor: A young doctor goes to unconscionable extremes in order to remain in the service of a female patient with a kidney disorder.


The Possession: A young girl buys an antique box at a yard sale, unaware that inside the collectible lives a malicious ancient spirit. The girl's father teams with his ex-wife to find a way to end the curse upon their child.


The Tall Man: When her child goes missing, a mother looks to unravel the legend of the Tall Man, an entity who allegedly abducts children.
